▏Omoinotake - Shiawase Kanji Lyrics

▏Omoinotake - Shiawase English/Translation Lyrics
You probably don’t know
The past I want to throw away
You gave it meaning, as our prologue
You probably don’t know
The name you call me
You gave it a bigger meaning than it’s origin
Drinking up the sweet cider
I choked, and you laughed at me
I don’t need some patched-up smile anymore
Why, why
Do you say you love me,
Who only receives things?
What can I give back, give back
To keep on living, I wonder
A dazzling emotion is filling me up
Softly, I’ll convey the name
Of this feeling to you: “Happy”
I finally came to understand
What lies beyond our quarrels
It’s not just goodbye, I know that much
I really want to know
The world reflected in your eyes
The reason I can’t let go of those unreliable fingers
The long scarf you’ve knit
Doesn’t suit me, you laughed at me
“Next year…”, those words kept me alive
Why, why
Do you say you love me,
Who only receives things?
What can I give back, give back
To keep on living, I wonder
A dazzling emotion is filling me up
The tight embrace, the sparks brushing past
The heat of our friction, the true nature of these feelings
And so, and so
What can I become to you,
Who always radiates?
I offer, offer all of me
Yet it won’t be enough
So even if the universe ends, I’ll still love you
No emotion can surpass you
Because even sadness turns into love
The fate of these emotions
Belongs to you alone: “Happy”
